First Church's monthly newsletter is called Kaleidoscope. According to The American Heritage Dictionary, the word "kaleidoscope" means "a constantly changing set of colors" and "a series of changing phases or events." Its derivation is Greek, kalos meaning "beautiful" and eidos, meaning "form." These descriptive definitions could well be used to characterize First Church.
